GAVC Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Celebrates Student Success!

GAVC Health Occupations instructor and HOSA advisor, Mrs. Ruth Ann Squellati, is very proud of the student’s accomplishments at the HOSA state competition. The students at GAVC have been working on their competitive event projects since the start of the school year. On April 2nd -4th, students competed at state level in Decatur, IL. Students are able to compete in many different health care events, there are over 40 competitive events to chose from. Students choose four events and compete against 600 students from around the state of Illinois. Also, students are able to run for state HOSA officer positions. This year HOSA Nationals will be held in Dallas, TX from June 18th – 21st. Students are eligible for national competition if they place in the top three of their competitive event. The students listed below have made it in the top 10 in their competitive event for the state of Illinois.
